beverage service and accommodation for all these visitors explains the growth
in this industry sector.
Over the next 20 years there it is
projected that 50% of all food expenditure will be on meals consumed outside
the home.
Current available figures indicate
that there are 20,000 restaurants and cafes, 16,000 fast food and takeaway
outlets, 4887 caterers, 6637 hotels and 3284 clubs. Australians spend just under $1000 per head eating out each year.
